Bridge

Token transfer between Layer 1 and Layer 2.

The Bridge on the ZKsync Era network allows you to seamlessly move assets between Layer 1 (L1) and Layer 2 (L2) with ease. Therefore, if you are depositing or withdrawing tokens, this guide will walk you through the simple steps to get started.

Accessing the Bridge

From the Portal, click on the Bridge link or go directly to Bridge by . If your wallet isn't connected, you'll be prompted to connect it, and you're in!

Initiating transactions

  • Choose your action: Use the streamlined toggle options to select whether you want to perform a Withdrawal (L2 to L1) or Deposit (L1 to L2) transaction.

  • Select token and amount: With enhanced visuals, select the token you want to bridge and enter the amount you wish to send.

Adjusting transaction details

  • Choose token and gas fees: Select the token for your transaction and specify which token to use for gas fees via the drop-down menu. If you're a certain NFT holder, you may qualify for gas-free transactions!

Completing your transaction

  • Review and confirm: Double-check all the transaction details on the simplified summary page to ensure everything is accurate before confirming.

Transaction status

  • Check status: After confirming, approve the transaction in your wallet. Once completed, view the detailed summary on your screen by clicking β€œView transaction.”

Bridging from Ethereum to zkSync Era takes approximately 15 minutes, while bridging from ZKsync Era to Ethereum can take up to 24 hours.
